What do I need to send for a roofing estimate?
Roof plans, roof details, sections, the roofing and sheet metal specification sections, any tapered insulation layout and all addenda. A priced estimate also needs the labor and material rates you approve.
Why is membrane measured in squares?
A square is a US construction unit equal to 100 square feet, commonly used for roofing materials. Membrane is reported in squares and insulation in square feet.
Do you calculate wind uplift or roof drainage?
No. Those are design responsibilities. We measure the assemblies as drawn and specified and list missing design information as open questions.
